“Numbness”

This is a digital artwork titled “Numbness” created in May 2024 (11 inches x 17 inches). It depicts the desensitization of war and violence. All the proceeds from selling this print were donated as medical relief funds for Palestine.

I made this artwork about desensitization because it is something that I personally see and can depict. I will speak candidly and say it is so easy to ignore what is happening in the world if it does not directly affect you or you are not there to witness the atrocities. I ask myself every day and I ask everyone reading this to BE PRESENT. Just because it is not happening to you does not mean it is not happening. Over 30,000 people- doctors, men, women, and children- have been killed in Gaza. I urge everyone to donate or speak out, not just as an activist but as a human being.
